The Very Best of The Underground Jewelry Market #1
Welcome to my new feature: 'The Very Best of The Underground Jewelry Market.' I plan to shed light on unique and interesting Bigcartel and Etsy shops and encourage my readers to spend money on smaller, more thoughtful shops than the giants of jewelry such as Topshop, Urban Outfitters and Primark. The feature will include a little interview with each shop's founders and a personal review from me on some of their products on sale. I love to buy from smaller, online jewelry shops as you can guarantee you won't come into work or college wearing the same piece as anyone else! You also get a more personalized service including pretty packaging. You can't go wrong.
Introducing the first Featurette: Delilah Dust Bigcartel Shop.
Interview with Antonia, Delilah Dust's creator:
How long have you had your online shop and what inspired you to start?
I set up Delilah Dust in November 2011, after several months trying to decide what to sell! I eventually decided on jewellery, as I can't leave the house without a bracelet or a necklace on! So, with the help of my sister Dominique, I started up a website with 4 products, which is gradually expanding!
How would you describe your designs?
Simple, yet unique - perfect for everyday wear, or as little gifts for friends and family.
Where do you hope to take your work in the future?
In the next few years, I would love to have a wide range of jewellery products selling on my website, and I have so many ideas I'd love to try out. I eventually would love to own my own store and vintage tearoom, as I also love baking!
The Products:
The items arrived B E A utifully packaged. The classy silver card shows off the products perfectly and I love the sweet little hearts punched out.
Love Bracelet in 'Scarlet' -£3.50
Feather Wish Bracelet in 'Olive' -£3.50
Infinity Bracelet in 'Lavender' -£4.00

The bracelets are all designed to tie around the wrist so they can accommodate wrists of all sizes and can be worn as loose or tight as you like. They look sweet layered together or alone and I think they would make the most perfect gifts for friends or family. They come in a range of designs and you can choose the colour of your tie from a selection of 14 different colours. I love how dainty these designs are and I haven't taken them off since I put them on! Delilah Dust also do necklaces so be sure to check out their website, here.
Delilah Dust are also giving 10% of sales to Breast Research until 1st April 2012 so make sure you put in an order quick- a treat for you AND a good deed. Win/win situation as far as I can see.

People throw rocks at things that shine
Tuesdays are never my day. They never have been and probably never will be, all my worst subjects seem to get timetabled for Tuesdays. I did, however get to see my boyfriend today which was a nice surprise and brightened my day considerably. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out later that I won a pair of tickets to the Caudalie and Glossybox event next Wednesday -I rarely win anything so this made me smile! Thank you so much Glossybox!
Cardi: H&M
Ring: Dorothy Perkins
Trousers: Topshop
Cat: Models Own
Pumps: New Look
Bracelet: Megan Jane Jewellry
Necklace: Megan Jane Jewellry
Another photograph of Kiki because shes a vain girl ;). Did anyone here watch the finale of Pretty Little Liars today? I was VERY disappointed with the whole 'A' reveal fandango. We are still in the dark?! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.Over and out,

Photography Feature: The First Day of Spring
Happy first day of Spring lovelies! I thought I'd compile a mood board of beautiful Spring photography from some of my favourite Flickr photographers. Click the photo and give the photographers a comment of favourite to let them know you appreciate their work as much as I do.
Personally, I am thinking of starting a little photography project of my own- the 52 weeks photography challenge. One photo a week for a year. If all goes to plan, I'm hopinh to start the 365 photograph challenge (a photograph a day for a year) so this will be good practice. It will also be good for helping my development as a photographer myself and hopefully I will find a 'photographical style' of my own. Please comment below if you would like to see some of these photographs posted below.

The Ring and The Giveaway
Yesterday, I posted about the generous people at Rings & Tings gifted me with a few pieces for review. I was incredibly intrigued by this 'Nail Ring' and after prompting from a follower, I've decided to dedicate a post to it.
The Nail Ring is an unusual concept. You are supposed to wear it -what looks like- upside down with the long part covering your finger nail. It adds a very new wave, indie feel to your outfit and is great for making a casual jeans+tee combo a bit more edgy.
Here I am rocking the Nail Ring on my middle finger with my Missguided nail polish and Models Own Polish in 'Emerald City.' (Excuse the chips!)
Its just as comfortable to wear as any large, chunky ring, if a little more difficult to forget you are wearing. I must admit, it catches on things, clothes, bag straps and finding anything in your handbag whilst wearing this is nigh impossible. However I got a ton of compliments on it and I really think its an interesting piece.

It looks super layered up with other rings, too. Its got me interested in other unique hand jewelry, like the popular 'knuckle rings.'
If you still aren't convinced, I've also found the design looks cool worn halfway down my pinkie finger like this. The Nail Ring comes in Silver or Gold and costs £3.
I was also given a Multi Skull Necklace, however, I liked this design and had already purchased myself one! I've decided to give the other away!

On the right side of the wrong bed.
Happy Mothers Day you beautiful people! I hope all the Motherly figures in your life where spoiled rotten today, and if you happen to be a Mum, I hope you enjoyed this special day! To celebrate Mothering Sunday I went out to Zizzi's for lunch with my family, Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. Zizzi's food was yummy and it would've been a wonderful day had it not been for the miserable weather (hello hail stones....) and a mishap on the motorway coming home..... The bottom of the car started breaking apart and coming off on the road (yes really!) it was making terrible noises and its safe to say we were all quite shaken. Fortunately we made it home in one piece, even if the same can't be said for the poor car.
here is what I wore:
Hat: New Look
Shirt: New Look
Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: River Island (from my boyfriend and best friend for Christmas)
I also wanted to mention Rings & Tings dot com. They sent me three fabulous pieces for a review and I wore the earrings today with my outfit. I got many complements on them! I'm already planning more purchases from Rings & Tings. They have such a mahoosive selection of goodies from as little as £3. Yes, 3 POUNDS! But the best part is they deliver world wide for free on orders over £35. I could spend way more than that in that cute little online shop, believe me!
Here is what I was gifted with:
Turquoise Matchstick Earrings- £2.50
Nail Ring in Silver- £3
Multi Skull Necklace- £3.50
I genuinely LOVE all the pieces I was given and I will most certainly be purchasing from Rings & Tings in the coming future. Its refreshing to find such a unique little shop, beats Primark's carbon copies any day!
